As the financial year wraps up, a common thread surfaces—burnout 😶
A recent study revealed that 73% of professionals have experienced burnout, with many citing the blurring lines between personal life and work as the culprit.
This narrative echoes many small business owners’ and entrepreneurs’ stories. Burnout sneaks up quietly, usually becoming evident only when it’s almost too late.
Managing a small business can often feel like running on an endless treadmill. Critical tasks pile up—“out of hours” becomes a myth. Strategic planning, client engagements, and administrative duties often spill into what should be personal time.
My confession: I have in past roles let the boundaries slip, taken on too much, and ignored the signs (recovering perfectionist here 😉) Today I recognise and hit pause, making sure I’m not setting myself up for a fall.
I’m curious—have you experienced burnout? What steps did you take to reclaim your balance and sanity?
I don’t have all the answers, but I’m committed to finding a better way forward, and maybe, just maybe, help you do the same.
