At Permission to Build, we’re a locally owned, family-run building surveying business servicing Echuca–Moama and the wider Northern Victorian region.

We’ve built a strong team culture based on trust, care and doing the job properly. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone to join us in an administration support role — helping our surveyors deliver building approvals across homes, sheds, commercial projects, and pools.

What the role involves:

Assisting with permit applications and documentation

Supporting our building surveyors with day-to-day admin

Helping clients navigate the approval process smoothly

We’re looking for someone who’s organised, communicates well, and is ready to become a valuable part of our growing team.

Beginning a new construction project can mean the start of an exciting journey, but it's important to be informed about the building process before you start. Here are some key steps to take into account:

• Confirm if your build requires a planning permit. You may require a planning permit for a new home, extension, renovation or an additional dwelling on the land.

• Confirm if the total work is valued over $10,000. If so, you’ll need to hire a registered builder.

• Check your practitioner is appropriately registered or licensed for the work to be undertaken using the ‘Find a Practitioner’ tool on the VBA website: https://ow.ly/b0kA50RA265

• Confirm your builder has Domestic Building Insurance (DBI); you should receive a copy of the DBI certificate of insurance.

We are HIRING

Seeking office administrator / trainee office administrator.

Cert IV in office adminstration offered.

We are looking for a person with a friendly can do attitude to help our team full time 8am - 5pm Mon- Fri. Experience in Microsoft office required and training in our specialised software will be provided externally.

Ability to communicate clearly, work on your own and in a team as well as knowledge of our local area advantageous.
