About the School. About the Role: Seeking a vibrant skilled and qualified Outdoor Education Teacher to join a team of committed educators at the schools Camp.

This opportunity is offered as a weekday residential role with staff accommodation provided, however staff can live at camp throughout the year if preferred.

The Outdoor Education Camp runs programs at Eildon to support the educational and personal development of students, typically from Years 3 to 10. Students enjoy a wide range of activities that include orienteering, abseiling, hiking, archery, rock climbing, canoeing, rafting, initiative games and high and low rope courses. Fostering teamwork amongst students with an appreciation and understanding of the natural environment.

Role Purpose: Providing family violence case management support and case coordination to Aboriginal women and their children affected by family violence. Utilising our strengths-based approach, conducting comprehensive needs and risk assessments for women and their children including screening, assessment, referrals and short-term support.

Position Specifics: Case management, referrals, promoting cultural safety, healthy family functioning, safety from violence, overall security and the stability and development of Aboriginal children and young people. Liaising with Aboriginal families and communities to enhance child, family and Community capacity. This role also provides support and specialised knowledge to improve responses to housing challenges faced by Community members.

About the Employer: Catering for our working Indigenous family community. Our enterprises include, Education and Training Programs for our Children and Youth, a Hair Salon, Second Hand Furniture Store, Coffee Van, Traditional Craft Centre, Cultural Awareness Training and Spinifex Skateboards.

Objectively: Reporting directly to the CEO. Working in conjunction with the school and other services providers. This program is part of our alternative curriculum within the school. Program delivery for our children and youth. Our youth ranger program focuses upon community engagement, bush and town trips, bush activities, boot camps, cooking, cultural awareness, community restorative justice, storytelling and teaching about country.

Your Background:
Tertiary Qualification in Youth, Education/ Conservation/Land Management/Community Development
Stable employment history

Ideally offering a strong background within Indigenous communities
Essentially holding a current driver's license and have 4 wheel driving experience
