PROUDLY SUPPORTING THE DYSART GUN CLUB
CMG was proud to once again support the Dysart Gun Club Annual Shoot, held on 1 & 2 August.
With our team spending plenty of time working in and around Dysart, supporting the clubs and events that bring the local community together is something we’re always proud to get behind.
It was a great weekend of competition, friendly rivalry and plenty of banter, with another fantastic turnout for the annual event.
A big congratulations to everyone who competed, and an even bigger thank you to the volunteers and organisers who put in the work behind the scenes to make the weekend such a success.
CMG was proud to play a small part in supporting another great event in a community that continues to be an important part of our story.

TEAM SPOTLIGHT | DOUG
Meet Doug, one of CMG’s Project Engineers, helping turn plans on paper into progress on the ground.
Working across our civil and mining projects, Doug is involved in everything from planning and technical coordination to QA, quantities and supporting our site teams through the day-to-day challenges of construction.
A big part of the Project Engineer role is being across the detail while still keeping an eye on the bigger picture, making sure the job is progressing safely, efficiently and to the standard our clients expect.
Doug brings a hands-on, practical approach to the role and is always willing to get out on site, work through a challenge and help keep the project moving forward.
We’re proud to have Doug as part of the CMG crew and look forward to seeing him continue to grow with the team.

TRADIES NATIONAL HEALTH MONTH | LOOK AFTER YOURSELF & YOUR MATES
August is Tradies National Health Month, a reminder that looking after yourself is just as important as looking after the job.
In civil construction, long days, physical work, remote locations and time away from home can all take their toll. Staying healthy isn’t just about avoiding injuries; it’s about managing fatigue, looking after your mental health, eating well, staying hydrated and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.
At CMG, we know our greatest asset isn’t our gear - it’s our people.
This month is a good reminder to check in with yourself and the people working beside you. Look out for the signs, have the conversation and don’t ignore the little things before they become bigger ones.
Strong crews look after each other - on the job and off it.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Look after your mates.

The project will see our crews and plant back out on the road, bringing CMG’s experience in pavement construction, rehabilitation and regional roadworks to another important piece of Queensland’s transport network.
Working alongside Downer, our team will focus on safe, efficient delivery while maintaining the quality and productivity that have become a big part of how we approach road infrastructure projects.
It’s another great addition to the CMG program and another opportunity for our team to strengthen industry relationships while delivering quality infrastructure across regional Queensland.
