From Parnpajinya (Newman) to Kutawa (Ethel Creek Station), we had the privilege of spending time with the Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation team as we kicked off their Branded Beef Accelerator Project. Straight To The Source and Pine Tree Projects have collaborated to design and delivery this program for the Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC with support from Meat & Livestock Australia.

We came home having learned so much - about Culture and Country, KNAC’s pastoral operations, and the ambition and enormous potential behind their plans for a Nyiyaparli-led beef business.

But more than anything, this visit was about the people. The generosity, knowledge, stories and good humour shared with us made it an experience we won’t forget.

There’s plenty of serious work ahead as we explore what this business could become but it’s fair to say we also had a lot of fun along the way!

We feel genuinely honoured to be working together on this project and are excited about where the journey might lead and look forward to seeing the red dust of the again.

The inaugural Liz Alexander Bursary helped Britta Marsh build valuable connections, unlock new opportunities and create lasting impact across the Queensland AgTech sector. 🏅✨

Through the bursary, Britta connected with founders, investors, researchers and industry leaders from across Australia and beyond.

The experience raised her profile nationally, expanded her network and unlocked new leadership opportunities.

Today, Britta is Executive Officer of AusAgritech, continuing Liz Alexander’s legacy by connecting people, ideas and opportunities across the AgTech ecosystem.
