I think becoming a mother in business has taught me that success looks very different to what I once thought it did.

Earlier in my career, success was tied to long hours, climbing the ladder and constantly proving myself. Now, success looks more like flexibility, balance, being present for my daughter and creating a business and life that actually feel sustainable.

It’s also taught me that I’m far more resilient and adaptable than I ever gave myself credit for. Running a business while raising a child means learning to pivot constantly, let go of perfection and trust yourself more.

Most importantly, it’s shown me that you can still be ambitious while wanting a softer, more balanced life at the same time.

I started Virtually Aims because I genuinely love executive assistant and operational support work, but after my divorce, my priorities shifted and full-time corporate roles no longer aligned with the life I wanted to create for myself and my daughter.

Being available for my girl became more important to me than long corporate hours and constantly feeling torn between work and family life.

Starting Virtually Aims gave me the opportunity to continue doing the work I love, but on my terms, with more flexibility, balance and the ability to be present for the moments that matter most.

Over time, I realised so many women in business were carrying the same mental load, trying to manage the business, the behind the scenes admin and life outside of work all at once.

Through Virtually Aims, I’m able to support those women by helping calm some of the chaos behind the scenes so they feel more supported in both business and life.

I'm so grateful for this adventure!
I've had an amazing day travelling, first time in the VA Lounge, meeting clients, home cooked meal & finishing it off with a hot bath to remove the chill from my bones! Can't wait for tomorrow!
