Catherine and John got married at home, on her 75th birthday. She looked like the Queen she is, and he looked on adoringly. They found each other later in life and now all they want to do is celebrate it šŸ™

Some moments in this work stay with you forever.

I had the honour of officiating this beautiful humanā€™s dadā€™s funeralā€¦ and then, six months later, standing with her again to marry the love of her life šŸ¤

And of course, it was hot. I had spent hours curling my hair before the driveā€¦ and by the time I arrived, it had completely fallen out. And in the full sun I can barely see without sunglasses (I can see the ceremony at least!)

But none of that matters - because Ellie and Bryce and their bridal party and the styling and the guests looked INCREDIBLE.

But what I get to be part of goes so far beyond how anything looks. Itā€™s showing up in the hard, holding space in the joy and being trusted with both.

And then receiving this afterwardsā€¦
ā€œJacinta was absolutely wonderful. She officiated my late fatherā€™s funeral and then was the celebrant at our wedding ceremony only 6 months later. She was compassionate, caring, professional, and easy to work with. She was always happy to help with any questions we had and encouraged us to personalise our ceremony and truly make it our own. We highly recommend Jacinta to anyone needing a celebrant. Thanks so much Jacinta šŸ¤ā€

This International Womenā€™s Day the theme is
Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.

Every couple I marry is choosing each other freely and joyfully. But around the world, 12 million girls are still forced into child marriage every year.

As a celebrant I want the weddings Iā€™m part of to reflect my values as a global citizen. Thatā€™s why every wedding I celebrate includes a small donation to Plan Internationalā€™s Stop Child Marriage campaign, supporting programs that help girls stay in school and choose their own futures.

Because marriage should always begin with love, and women and girls should have the freedom to choose their own lives.

Receiving this card from Di and Pete, made my YEAR šŸ˜šŸ˜ it is such an honour and a joy to marry people.

They had a lovely ceremony at home with their girls and closest friends. And although it was 36 degrees outside, Pete did a great job of standing up front in his suit, massive smile on his face as he welcomed his bride.
