🌊 What an incredible few weeks bringing the underwater world to Queensland Museums! We had a blast at the World Science Festival Queensland 2026, presented by Queensland Museum, showcasing our QYSEA underwater drones across Toowoomba, Ipswich and Chinchilla.

From wide-eyed kids to enthusiastic teachers, it was fantastic to see so much curiosity about ROV technology — and even better watching people get hands-on and pilot the drones themselves!

As one educator put it: "Students and teachers were inspired by the activities on offer and your passion for STEM was greatly appreciated." 100% of respondents rated their WSFQ 2026 experience as "Exceeded my Expectations" — and we couldn't agree more about the experience ourselves.

Thank you to Queensland Museum and everyone we met along the way for making STEM come alive in regional Queensland.

On 14 July 2026, Underwater Australasia delivered an advanced QYSEA E-Master ROV Operator Training Course for participants from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) at the outstanding SIMS facilities in Chowder Bay, NSW.

The training combined comprehensive classroom instruction with practical field operations, equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to safely deploy and operate professional underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for marine science, environmental monitoring and underwater inspection applications.
