In 2012 we set out to break the women’s world cycling record while creating a rich learning platform for youth.

It was an epic adventure that changed us in many ways.

Much of our content has remained dormant waiting for the time and space to lay out the journey for a broader audience.

Diving into it is such a wonderful experience of reliving memories.

ISMOTION is three and we could not have reached where we are without the extraordinary contributions of those who have helped shaped our path.

After Kristina completed her research masters she spent a lot of time getting a TEDucation. Every time she was inspired by a talk or individual - she looked up the speaker and wrote to them in hopes of collaboration.

Zoe Weil was one such first inspirer with her TEDx: “The world becomes what you teach.”

Thankfully Zoe wrote back! This was in late 2011 and since then Zoe Weil and colleagues at the Institute for Humane Education in Maine have influenced the Ride To Learn program, team, and subsequent ISMOTION programs. Their ongoing support thorough courses, literature, connections, and community have shaped the ideology and curriculum of Ride To Learn.

Thank you to Zoe and to Humane Education for instilling the desire and capacity to live with compassion, integrity, and wisdom. We are all solutionaries!!!

ISMOTION is three and we could not have reached where we are without the extraordinary contributions of those who have helped shaped our path.

To kick of a series of reflections we start with Christina Galego.

Christina was an Educational Coordinator for Ride To Learn and she would be able to write this note much better then me. Her skilful woodcraft influenced Ride To Learn content, design, and communicative direction.

Christina's tireless dedication to the program saw the creation and facilitation of Taking It Global's classroom, route changes in World By Cycle, relationship development around the world, and recruitment of a fabulous core education team.
