Some successes are made all the sweeter by the company we keep.
Six women. Three award winners. Three finalists.
And five of these remarkable women have been, or are currently, mentoring clients of mine.
At the recent Women with Altitude Awards, I had the enormous pleasure of receiving the Coaching Excellence Award. But what made the evening particularly special was sharing the celebration with women whose journeys I’ve had the privilege of being part of.
With over 100 entries and around 19 awards presented on the night, there was so much to celebrate.
Each of these women has her own story. Her own challenges, aspirations, courageous choices and hard-won achievements.
I’ve had the privilege of sitting alongside them through some of those chapters. Listening to their questions, their doubts, their discoveries and their growing trust in themselves.
So to stand beside them as they celebrated was something quite extraordinary.
One of the greatest joys of my work is witnessing women come into their own. Not by becoming someone else, but by discovering more of who they are, recognising what they have to offer and finding the courage to bring it into the world.
Their achievements are entirely their own.
To have played even a small part in their journeys is a privilege I don’t take lightly.
There is something deeply beautiful about women celebrating other women.
No competition. No comparison.
Just genuine delight in seeing one another rise.
To these five wonderful women, and to all the finalists and winners on the night, congratulations.
I see and honour the leaders you are.
It’s a joy to be in your company and be reminded that success is even more wonderful when it’s shared.
