Yay!! And about time too - this guy's about the best thing we have in the whole country, let alone our SW!

Walpole tourism pioneer Gary Muir from WOW Wilderness has been honoured with the Local Tourism Legend Award at the recent WA Tourism Conference, recognising his outstanding contribution to Western Australia's tourism industry.

Gary was recognised for more than three decades of dedication to building one of the South West's most iconic tourism experiences through entrepreneurial leadership, environmental stewardship and a deep commitment to the local community.

Gary's commitment to conservation and visitor education extends beyond his business. As a WA Parks ambassador, he continues to share his knowledge and passion for Western Australia's natural landscapes, inspiring visitors and locals alike to appreciate and protect the state's environmental and cultural heritage.

Congratulations to Gary on this well-deserved honour and his ongoing contribution to tourism, conservation and community in Walpole and the South West.
