🔥 PLANNING TO BURN OFF? DON’T FORGET TO NOTIFY! 🔥

If you’re planning a burn-off on your property, please remember that you need to notify the appropriate authorities and your neighbours before you light up.

🚒 Notifying your burn helps prevent unnecessary Triple Zero (000) calls and means firefighters know about planned burns in the area.

Before burning:
🔥 Check whether a Fire Permit is required
📞 Notify the RFS of your planned burn
🏡 Notify your neighbours
🌦️ Check the weather and fire conditions
💧 Have water and firefighting equipment ready
👀 Never leave your burn unattended

📲 Notify the RFS online here:
https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-information/BFDP/burn-notifications

A quick notification can save a lot of confusion and help keep our community safe.

Remember — notifying your burn is not the same as obtaining a Fire Permit.

Stay safe,
Tocumwal Rural Fire Brigade 🚒🔥
