AWE is delighted to welcome Lawrence (Laurie) Phillips to AWE Group as our new Executive General Manager.

Laurie joins AWE at an exciting time as we continue to expand our engineering, manufacturing and field service capability across Australia.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience across mining services, heavy equipment and power systems, Laurie has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, driving operational excellence and delivering outstanding outcomes for clients. Having progressed from the tools through to executive leadership, he brings a unique combination of technical expertise, commercial acumen and people-first leadership.

As Executive General Manager, Laurie will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of AWE. Working closely with our leadership team, he will strengthen operational performance, enhance our client partnerships, develop our people and support the continued growth and diversification of the business.

As we continue building AWE Built and AWE Beyond, Laurie's experience and leadership will help drive our vision of becoming one of Australia's leading engineering, manufacturing and mining services businesses.

Another major milestone delivered by the AWE Built team.

This CAT 6040 excavator bucket has undergone a complete lip conversion and armour upgrade and is now ready to return to work in the Pilbara, supporting one of Australia's critical lithium operations.
