WA producers are increasingly trying to find ways to self-insulate from ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, the country's biggest bank's agribusiness boss says - operators were now looking to secure fuel and fertiliser in larger quantities about six months in advance as a result of earlier supply challenges, and clients were also seeking to fund additional on-farm storage, Commonwealth Bank agribusiness national general manager Roddy Brown said at the Dowerin Machinery Field Days ..... Mr Brown said there were good opportunities for WA clients looking to expand, particularly with the rise in (rural) land value over the past 10 years : they're in a strong position, because they've had really good balance sheet growth in terms of increased farm values.
