✨ Celebrating milestones that matter ✨

Last month, we had the pleasure of recognising our incredible team members who have reached 5, 10, 15 and 20 years with Cordelta, with a special service recognition retreat to Cairns.

At Cordelta, we value commitment, connection, and community and this trip was a chance to celebrate the people who have helped shape who we are today.

The retreat also provides valuable time to discuss how we continue to strengthen our employee value proposition, grow our capabilities and service offerings, and support the development aspirations of our people.

Most importantly, they build lasting friendships and strengthen the connections that make Cordelta such a great place to work.

From exploring Tropical North Queensland to enjoying incredible food, stunning scenery and the relaxed atmosphere of Cairns, this year's retreat provided the perfect setting to celebrate a career milestone, recharge, and reflect on the journey so far.

Congratulations to the newest members of our recognition club and thank you for your continued contribution to Cordelta's success.

Here’s to many more milestones ahead 👏

NAIDOC Week 2026 is an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly”, marks a significant milestone, honouring the strength, resilience and leadership of First Nations communities over the past five decades.

At Cordelta, we’re proud to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands we work on and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

NAIDOC Week is a time to listen, learn and reflect, and to celebrate the world’s oldest continuing cultures.

Looking for ways to get involved, head to https://www.naidoc.org.au for more details.

🏒 What a fantastic night supporting the Canberra Brave

Cordelta is proud to be a sponsor of the Canberra Brave, and it was great to be part of the action at a recent game. A special highlight for us was seeing our Managing Director, Brad Orchard, take centre ice to perform the ceremonial puck drop and officially open the match.

The energy in the arena was incredible, and it’s clear the Brave continue to bring the Canberra community together both on and off the ice.

We’re proud to stand behind the team and look forward to cheering them on throughout the season.

Last week, Stephen Anderson stepped out of his comfort zone to take part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, joining business and community leaders across the region to raise awareness and funds for Australians experiencing homelessness.

Spending a night outdoors is a small but powerful way to highlight the reality faced by too many Australians, with the initiative helping to fund vital services such as accommodation, meals and ongoing support for those doing it tough.
We’re incredibly proud of Stephen for getting behind such an important cause and using his leadership to drive meaningful impact.

Closer to home, we're also inspired by the work happening within our community. One of our staff members, Tori Curtis, has been working with Goulburn Soroptimists to create recycled blankets, repurposing materials into practical items that provide warmth and comfort to those in need. This work aligns with the broader Chip Packet Project initiative, which transforms foil-lined packaging (such as chip packets) into insulated emergency blankets and other useful items for people experiencing homelessness or hardship. One of the blankets created through this effort was presented to Lucy Hohnen, CEO of Vinnies Canberra/Goulburn.

It’s a great example of how small, thoughtful initiatives can make a tangible difference, supporting sustainability while helping people through challenging times.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in supporting Vinnies and the broader mission to ensure that everyone has access to safe, secure housing.

🌿 Cordelta Annual Conference 2026 - Reflect. Renew. Reconnect 🌿

Our team came together at the National Museum of Australia for the Cordelta Annual Conference 2026 - a day dedicated to pausing, reflecting on what we’ve achieved, and reconnecting with what matters most as we move forward together.

The day began with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Ngunnawal Traditional Custodians, setting a thoughtful and grounding tone for the conversations that followed. We then moved through cultural learning sessions, business updates, and interactive discussions centred on our people, our purpose, and the future of the Cordelta group.

From wellbeing and mindfulness activities to round table immersions and our State of the Nation updates, the conference provided space to learn, connect and recharge - values that sit at the heart of our culture. The day concluded with an evening celebration with partners, marking another milestone in our shared journey.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a meaningful success.

💪 Cordelta Deltoids taking on The Push-Up Challenge 💪

This June, five of our Deltoids are stepping up to take on The Push-Up Challenge, raising funds and awareness for mental health.

The challenge brings people together to complete thousands of push-ups while sharing important mental health facts and encouraging conversations that help break the stigma.

At Cordelta, supporting our community and each other is something we’re passionate about, and initiatives like this are a great way for our team to get involved, stay active, and contribute to a cause that truly matters.

A big shout out to Christiaan Rankin, Pippa Harbers, William Renton, Tori Curtis and Mehdi Shabaninejad taking part to help raise funds for Lifeline Canberra. We’re proud of you and behind you all the way 👏

For one night, Stephen Anderson will be sleeping rough to help break the cycle of homelessness. 🛌❄️

Stephen is taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout (ACT & Surrounds), an eye-opening experience that raises vital funds and awareness for Australians experiencing homelessness. While one night outdoors may seem small, the impact of this fundraiser is anything but.

Every donation goes directly towards providing meals, emergency accommodation, and support services for people doing it tough in our community. If you’re able to help, even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference.
