The primary responsibilities include:
Diagnosing including "Fault Finding" domestic and commercial electrical appliances
Identifying and requesting parts to complete repairs
Completing repairs when parts arrive
Documenting the status of repair works
Testing to ensure the repair is successful
Using Field Service software for managing job progress including invoicing and taking payment
Working unsupervised and autonomously
Additional Tasks can include:
Communicating to the client the issues found
Assisting with stock management
Collection, removal and installation of domestic appliances
Communicating with manufacturers technical representatives
User level tool and vehicle checks
Other reasonable tasks that assist the operation of a small repair business
Requirements for this role are:
An electrical license allowing the disconnection/re-connection from electrical service
Construction Induction (White Card)
Safe work practices
We are especially looking for new team members who also have:
Experience in effective repair of appliances
Refrigeration/Gas Fitting License
Solid communication ability
Good client relation skills
The ability to periodically work in a team environment
A working with vulnerable people (WWVP) card
Due to the nature of the work we provide to aged care and other managed care facilities, the job requires a valid COVID vaccination.
You will be required to work autonomously and sometimes in a small team environment. You will be responsible for completing assigned work to a high standard with good attention to detail and good customer service.
The role has a generous starting pay rate with bonuses offered for exceeding earning requirements. Also on offer is a uniform, mobile phone and vehicle (or vehicle allowance for suitable vehicle).
Reporting to the Owner of The Ginger Beard Repair Service any employment offer will be subject to a Police Clearance.
