📢 GARGETT DEPOT CLOSURE

We apologise for the delayed notice, but our Gargett Depot will be closed from Tuesday, 8 September through to Tuesday, 15 September while important depot improvement works are completed.

Unfortunately, these works will prevent safe access to the depot during this time.

We understand this may cause some inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back once the improvements are complete! 💚♻️

🎉 THE ANSWER IS… 22.39 MILLION! 🎉

That’s right—last financial year, our incredible communities helped NQ Green Solutions process a whopping 22.39 MILLION eligible containers across our Burdekin, Gargett and Dysart depots! ♻️💚

That came from around 42,000 transactions, averaging 534 containers each time. What an effort!

But now we’re throwing down the challenge…

Burdekin, Gargett and Dysart—it’s game on! Fill those bags, clear out the empties and keep every eligible container coming our way. Every can, bottle and carton gets us one step closer to smashing the record!

Can’t make it to your closest Containers for Change depot during opening hours? NQ Green Solutions has nine conveniently located bag drops across Central Queensland!

You’ll find us in:

Using our bag drops is easy:

✅ Place your eligible containers in a durable bag
✅ Remove the lids
✅ Clearly label the bag with your Scheme ID
✅ Drop it off and we’ll do the rest! (make sure it is safely placed INSIDE the bag drop for security)

Please remember—durable bags only, with no cardboard boxes or contamination.

📣 Are these your cans?

A lady dropped off a Woolworths paper bag containing crushed cans at our Gargett depot at approximately 11:00 am today, but unfortunately no contact or payment details were left.

We’ve counted your containers and have your refund ready for collection. Please send us a private message or pop back into the depot so we can arrange payment.

For security, we have CCTV footage of the drop-off to help us confirm the correct person.

⚠️ EARLY CLOSURE – GARGETT DEPOT ⚠️

Please note that our Gargett depot will close early at 3:00 pm on Friday, 7 August due to staffing shortages.

We’ll reopen as normal at 9:00 am on Saturday, 8 August.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please plan your visit accordingly.

🚧 UPDATE – Earthworks Postponed 🚧

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our scheduled earthworks have been postponed until Monday.

As Monday and Tuesday are our normal closed days, these works will now be carried out while the depot is closed, helping to minimise any disruption to our customers.

We would like to extend our sincere apologies to our surrounding neighbours for any noise or inconvenience the works may cause while they are underway.

These important improvements are being completed to make our depot a safer environment for both our staff and customers, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we invest in the future of our site.
