⚠️ WARNING! There are video links going around in Facebook that if you click on it, this will happen...

➡️ "Microsoft Defender" appears to popup saying your PC has been Blocked, due to a virus or access to a pornagraphic site or something.. and to call a number.. ❗️DON'T!! IT'S A SCAM!!❗️

❗️ It is NOT Microsoft Defender!! It is a website craftily designed with popups, to look like it!

🚫 DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER! (Microsoft do not give a crap to provide that sort of support anyway).

✅️ Instead do these 3 STEPS TO GET OUT OF IT!
(✏️ write these down on a post-it-note and keep by your PC)

1️⃣ Press "F11" and see if you can see a cross in the top right corner, to close the Web Browser

or, if your mouse is not working...

2️⃣ Hold the "Alt" button and press the "F4" button - to close the the browser window.

and if that doesn't work..

3️⃣ Hold the "Alt" button, and press the "Tab" button - to find the prompt screen that has the question "Do you want to close this window?".
Then click yes (you should have your mouse control back by then).

Remember DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER! It is a scam!

Even if there is a repeating verbal warning coming from your computer - DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER!!

If in doubt, shut the computer down (by holding down the power button, or unplugging from the wall), and take it your nearest IT person.

⚠️Getting heaps of SMS/Text spam? Did you know your phone is likely setup to download any attachments they send? 😮

Fix it now by going into your SMS/Text settings and making sure "Auto-download MMS" is NOT set.

After updating this setting, if you receive any attachments via SMS/Text you will be prompted first before download. If it is from a number you don't know, don't download it.

Remember also not to click on links in sms/text unless you were expecting it.
