Last week I was back with , delivering a workshop for their brilliant community of virtual assistants and other professional service providers.

Here's what we explored:

💛 Continuity is about care, not crisis - care for the clients, income and reputation you've worked hard to build

💛 Most of what you need for a continuity plan already exists, it just hasn't been captured in a way someone else could use

💛 You have more options than you think when it comes to who could support your business if you couldn't be there (any why family isn't always the best option)

I had loads of fun with an incredible group of women, but there's no doubt these business owners take their work seriously. They carved out time to strengthen the foundations of their business, which says everything about how seriously they take their responsibility to their clients 🫶🏽

Really excited to share that I've been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Rural Women's Acceleration Grant 🎉

This grant will support me to strengthen the Business Back-Up Plan concept and complete formal certification with the Business Continuity Institute - building my knowledge and bringing even more depth to how I support regional business owners, consultants and small teams.

Practical, accessible continuity planning that protects your clients, income and reputation.

Grateful to for the opportunity and to be a part of this incredible cohort of women doing important work across rural and regional communities.

Over the past six months, I’ve been working on something quietly, and today it’s live.

Most small service-based businesses rely heavily on the person who runs them.

The Business Back-Up Plan is a straightforward business continuity process designed for small business that captures what actually matters - the work, decisions and relationships someone would need to keep things moving if you couldn’t be there.

There's no heavy documentation or corporate language. Just a process and plan that's designed to protect your clients, your income and your reputation.
