What if more of your team could benefit from the conversations happening around the Geelong Business Club table?

Our Corporate Memberships are designed for organisations that want to give their leaders and senior team members the opportunity to connect with Geelong’s broader business community, hear from leading speakers and learn from people across different industries.

It’s not about sending the same person to every event.
It’s about creating opportunities for more people within your organisation to step outside the day-to-day, broaden their networks, hear different perspectives and build genuine relationships with other business leaders across our region.

For organisations investing in their people, it’s another way to support leadership development, connection and engagement beyond the workplace.

There’s a lot to be proud of in Geelong. 💙

Our city continues to grow, evolve and create new opportunities, but what makes our region special goes well beyond the buildings, developments and businesses we see around us.

It’s the people behind them.

The business owners, leaders, professionals and organisations who choose to invest in Geelong, contribute to our community and play a part in shaping where our region goes next.

That’s what the Geelong Business Club is about too. For 65 years, the Club has brought together people from across Geelong’s business community to connect, share experiences, learn from one another and build genuine relationships.

Around our tables, you’ll find people from different industries, backgrounds and stages of their careers. People you may never otherwise have had the opportunity to meet, but who share a connection through doing business and being part of this region.

It’s a chance to step outside your own business, hear different perspectives, enjoy great speakers and conversations, and feel more connected to the broader Geelong business community.

Because as Geelong continues to grow, there’s something pretty special about growing alongside it — and alongside the people helping to shape its future. 💙

We’re excited to introduce Dan Nicholls as President of the Geelong Business Club for the next 12 months. 🙌

Dan steps into the role at an exciting time for the Club, with a strong focus on continuing to build on our history while looking at new ways to connect and engage our members.

Over the coming year, Dan and the Committee are looking forward to exploring new opportunities for members to connect, share experiences and knowledge, and strengthen the relationships that make the Club such a valuable part of Geelong’s business community.

There is also a real desire to look beyond the Club itself and explore how we can contribute more to the broader Geelong community, something that has long been an important part of who we are.

We’re still working through what some of these ideas will look like, so we won’t give too much away just yet, but there is plenty of energy and excitement about what lies ahead!

As we welcome Dan into the role, we’d also like to sincerely thank Sharon Hill, our outgoing President, for her leadership and contribution over the past 12 months. Sharon has given her time, energy and commitment to the Club throughout her presidency, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed during her tenure.

Thank you, Sharon, and congratulations, Dan. 👏

Here’s to a big and exciting 12 months ahead for the Geelong Business Club! 💙

It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day demands of running an organisation, making decisions and solving problems, without taking the time to pause, reflect and gain a fresh perspective.

That's one of the things our members value most about the Geelong Business Club.

Each month, we bring together business owners, executives and leaders from across our region to step outside their usual environment, hear from inspiring speakers and have meaningful conversations with people who understand the challenges of leadership.

It's not about selling. It's about learning, sharing experiences and building genuine relationships.

Sometimes, the greatest value comes from simply making space to think bigger, challenge your thinking and reconnect with what matters.

If you're looking to surround yourself with leaders who are committed to growing themselves, their organisations and our region, we'd love to welcome you!

You're Invited: From the World Stage to the Streets of Geelong 🏃

What does it take to compete on the world's biggest stage... and what can business leaders learn from an Olympic athlete who's built a lasting legacy far beyond the finish line?

Join us on Monday, 10th August, as we welcome Lee Troop, Olympic marathoner, coach, entrepreneur, and founder of the Geelong Running Festival.

Representing Australia at three Olympic Games is an extraordinary achievement. But Lee's story is about much more than elite sport. It's about resilience, leadership, vision, and having the courage to build something that creates a lasting impact.

Drawing on his experiences competing at the highest level, coaching world-class athletes, building a thriving running community in Boulder, Colorado, and bringing the Geelong Running Festival to life, Lee will share practical lessons that apply just as much in business as they do in sport.

🔹 What you'll gain:
• The mindset and habits that took a young Geelong runner to three Olympic Games.
• Practical leadership lessons in resilience, adaptability, and performing under pressure.
• Insights into building high-performing teams and thriving communities.
• Inspiration to pursue ambitious goals with greater confidence and purpose.

✨ You'll leave with practical leadership insights and a fresh perspective on what it takes to perform at your best, overcome challenges, and create something that truly makes a difference.

Last Friday evening, members of the Geelong Business Club Committee had the privilege of attending the Barwon Health Foundation Gala Ball to celebrate the official launch of the Barwon Women's & Children's Appeal.

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together outside our monthly meetings and support an initiative that will have a lasting impact on families across our region.

The generosity shown throughout the evening was nothing short of extraordinary, with an incredible $10,059,014 raised to help transform healthcare for women, children and families in our community.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this remarkable event to life, and thank you to every individual and organisation who contributed to such an outstanding result. Geelong continues to demonstrate what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. 💙
