Those of you that have done the free money type quiz on my website or who have done money coaching with me will be familiar with the money types we work with. For those that aren't familiar with the money types I thought I would begin to introduce each money type in my newsletter. So here goes with the first money type....
The Innocent.
I think we might all have a bit of Innocent in us or at least know someone who is an Innocent money type. When it comes to money they tend to take the ostrich approach and bury their head in the sand. They are easily overwhelmed by financial information and, being trusting types, rely heavily on the advice or opinions of others (which may not always be a great idea).
The Innocent may seem happy-go-lucky but are often anxious on the inside. They often seek security and may be financially dependant on others. They are usually non-confrontational and often feel powerless when it comes to money.
Fortunately, Innocent is one of the easiest types to change. Once the Innocent realises they are capable they can go from strength to strength financially. All it needs is for the innocent to learn some solid money management skills - often just basic financial literacy to realise they can be independent and certainly don't need rescuing!
If this doesn't resonate with you, bear in mind there are 8 money types... it just means we haven't found yours yet!
If you are curious about your money type, I invite you to do the Free Money Type quiz on my website fsmoneycoaching.com. Or just sign up for my monthly newsletter.
Somewhat related to the Innocent money type is the article I recently put up on the website about financial success. I often find clients busy chasing money and financial goals without ever stopping to figure out why or what financial success means to them.
