✨ A Photoshoot That Meant So Much More ✨

Last Sunday, we had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Robert from On-Point Photography (WA) during Lucy’s very first official pageant and modelling photoshoot - and honestly, it was such a special experience from beginning to end.

At Turning Point Models Australia, we believe modelling and pageantry should be accessible, supportive, empowering, and safe for everyone. Watching Lucy step in front of the camera and slowly grow more confident throughout the session was something truly beautiful to witness.

What stood out most about working with Robert wasn’t just his incredible photography skills - it was the patience, understanding, kindness, and calm environment he naturally created.

As many of you know, Lucy is neurodivergent, and stepping into unfamiliar environments can sometimes feel overwhelming. Robert instinctively understood that. He never rushed her, never pressured her, and continuously adapted the session to make sure Lucy felt comfortable, respected, and supported.

He noticed when she needed breaks.
He adjusted when she became overstimulated.
He created a space where she felt safe enough to relax, have fun, and genuinely enjoy herself.

And that matters more than words can explain.

By the end of the shoot, Lucy was smiling, laughing, posing confidently, and completely shining in her own way. Watching that transformation was incredibly emotional and such a proud moment for all of us involved.

This journey to Miss Teen Heritage Australia 2026 is about far more than crowns and gowns. It’s about representation, confidence, inclusion, and showing young people - especially neurodivergent young people - that they are capable of achieving incredible things without changing who they are.

A huge thank you to Robert from On-Point Photography (WA) for not only capturing stunning images, but for capturing Lucy’s spirit so beautifully.
