Extended patrols need more than fuel capacity.
PV Equinox was designed for voyages of up to 14 days and a range of 1,000 nautical miles at its 20-knot service speed.
A Stella Marine watermaker produces up to 240 litres of fresh water per hour, while food storage, laundry facilities, and an onboard workshop support daily life and maintenance away from port.
Integrating these services is an essential part of turning an offshore vessel into a sustained patrol platform.

PV Equinox’s patrol capability extends beyond the main vessel.
Dongara Marine also built its custom 5.5-metre aluminium RIB, powered by a Mercury SeaPro outboard, for inspections, boardings and other work away from the patrol boat.
A central stern ramp and twin hydraulic transom doors provide launch, recovery and stowage.
Building both vessels allowed the seaboat and its handling arrangement to be developed together around DPIRD’s requirements.

ICYMI: Two 12 metre custom-built search and rescue RIBs built by Dongara Marine for use by Marine Rescue units in Perth and Mandurah were officially named in a ceremony in Fremantle last month.

Named Rita G and delivered just prior to the ceremony, Marine Rescue Mandurah's (Marine Rescue Mandurah) new vessel is another of the successful full walkaround cabin variants, three of which had been delivered previously.

Marine Rescue Whitfords' newest vessel was named Whitfords 2. Delivered by Dongara Marine in August 2025, it is the first full width cabin version of our 12 metre RIB.

Both vessels are powered by a pair of 450hp Yamaha outboards giving a maximum speed of approximately 45 knots, are in AMSA NSCV 2C Survey for six crew and six special persons, and have 1500 litre fuel tanks.

All new Marine Rescue vessels are built under contract to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA

Last year Dongara Marine completed our first contract for the Australian Government – a 19.9 metre ancillary ferry / utility vessel procured by AusGov Infrastructure for the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, one of Australia's Indian Ocean Territories. With flexibility for passenger service in the shallow inter-island waters as well as search and rescue and other maritime response activities well offshore, Pulu Voyager is a true multi-role vessel.
