This permanent part-time position (minimum 3 days per week) offers the opportunity to work with an established regional Western Australian business operating across the Communications, Security and Fire Protection industries.

Flexible work arrangements may be negotiated with the successful candidate, allowing the role to be tailored around individual circumstances while continuing to meet the needs of the business.

Today we are pleased to announce our recent purchase of Mitchell & Brown Communications.

Mitchell & Brown Communications has a rich history and has been at the forefront of Communications in Western Australia for decades.

It has grown to not only be a leader and trusted provider of Communications, but also Security and Fire Protection Systems throughout the Mid West region, and across Western Australia.

The company’s success is a credit to Nigel, Chris and Glenn, their families, the broader team, and all the people who have contributed to the business over its more than 30 years.

Importantly, Mitchell & Brown Communications, through its previous owners and their families, has contributed greatly to this community.

It’s why we’re so proud and honoured to take this business into its next exciting chapter.

We intend to honour the legacy that has been built, preserve what has made the business so successful, support our team, and continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our valued customers.

And we want to ensure the company remains to be a trusted part of the community for decades to come.

A quick bit about us…

While you might not know our faces yet, we have our own connections to Geraldton, and we can’t wait to strengthen these and be part of your community.

Tyler was born here and his Mum, Cindy, spent a number of years as a local photographer for the Geraldton Guardian.

Robbie is a born and bred Busso boy, who met a Geraldton girl, and as a result he is well-versed on the awesome coastal lifestyle, and how screaming “DEFENCE” during a Buccs game isn’t an option, but a requirement.

We are so grateful for the opportunity given to us by Nigel, Chris and Glenn, and the trust they’ve placed in us to take Mitchell & Brown Communications into its next era.

Over the last few days we’ve been settling in, and we’ve also had the opportunity to meet some very important people…our team. To our team, thank you for the support and warm welcome you’ve given us.

To our valued customers and suppliers, we are looking forward to meeting and working with you.

We look forward to life in this incredible place, being part of this community, and what’s next for Mitchell & Brown Communications!

After 30 wonderful years, we have reached a very special milestone - we have officially sold Mitchell and Brown Communications, and handed the reins over to Robbie MacDonald and Tyler Levens.

As we look back over the past three decades, we are filled with an enormous sense of gratitude.

To all of our customers, both past and present - thank you for your loyalty, your support, your conversations, your laughs and for choosing to support our business over the years. We have been incredibly fortunate to have met so many wonderful people along the way.

To our suppliers and business partners - thank you for your support, reliability and friendship throughout the years. We truly couldn't have done it without you.

And to our amazing staff, past and present - thank you for your hard work, dedication and commitment. You have been such an important part of our journey, and we will always be grateful for the contribution you made to our business and our family. Your support through some very difficult and trying times in our personal lives has meant more to us than you will ever know. Your kindness, understanding and friendship have carried us through some of life’s toughest moments, and for that, we will be forever grateful.

Importantly, while the ownership of the company has changed, it’s business as usual and we look forward to Robbie and Tyler taking the business into the future. Whilst Nigel and Chris will be departing the business, Glenn will be continuing with the new owners.

While it is certainly emotional to say goodbye to something that has been such a big part of our lives, we are also excited to see what the future holds. We wish our new owners every success and hope you will all give them the same wonderful support you have given us.

Our FIRE department are looking for a FIRE TECHNICIAN to join our team, however due to the nature of the Fire System works we believe that a suitably qualified ELECTRICIAN would have a skillset that can be expanded to suit the position. If you are a qualified electrician and are looking to build your skillset, or looking a for a change we would appreciate your interest in our expanding team.
The role will include preventative maintenance, installation, commissioning and breakdown work to various types of fire equipment including Fire Panels, special hazard systems, EWIS Systems, Portable fire equipment, mobile fire suppression systems, hydrant and pump systems and emergency lighting in accordance with AS1851.
