Part-Time Accountant (20–30 Hours per Week)

McMahons Transport is a family-owned and do operated transport and manufacturing business based in Gerringong. We pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, supportive workplace culture and working alongside a motivated team committed to delivering quality outcomes for our customers.
We are seeking an experienced and capable Part-Time Accountant to join our team. This is a flexible role offering approximately 20–30 hours per week, with workdays and hours able to be tailored to suit the successful applicant.
About the Role
Reporting directly to management, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting functions across our group of businesses. This is a hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys working within a dynamic small business environment and can confidently manage multiple entities.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience in either:
* Public practice accounting, or
* Small to medium business accounting.
* Experience working within a multi-entity or group business structure.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and general accounting processes.
* Experience in, or the ability to quickly adapt to, a transport and manufacturing business environment.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
* Experience with Xero accounting software will be highly regarded.
