Talk about above and beyond service!

The young family that owns this property called us out at 5:30pm as their Storage Hot Water System failed… definitely not ideal in these colder months!

We replaced the system the same day it failed, working well into the evening.
They upgraded to a continuous flow hot water system, not only giving them hot water that night, but saving on their gas bill moving forward.

We attended this property in Pelican Waters to do a full relocation of the gas install and hot water system.
The site was previously compliant but after the homeowner did a renovation it left the location of the install and hot water system in space that was no longer safe for the customer or meeting gas regulations.
As you can see in the first image they are both sitting inside a closed in room on our arrival. We completed some new pipe work, keeping things tidy, while relocating everything to an alternative spot externally.

This is a classic case of how a site can be initially safe and meeting all gas regulations, but how it can change over time due to outside circumstance.

Yep you read that right!
In its natural state LP gas has no smell and it’s colourless too!

So why do customers call us worried that they can smell gas?
That’s because an odourant is added to make it easier to detect leaks. This is normally something quite strong and unique, like rotten eggs.

The gas supplier to this property in Beerwah detected a leak while delivering. The home owner contacted us as soon as they were notified and we were able to get them the same day.
They were in need of a whole new regulator due to the nature of the leak. We also issued a Gas System Compliance Certificate for the work completed. The customer came home and was able to use their hot water straight away, and have peace of mind knowing their install is compliant and safe!

I think I might have a gas leak, what do I do?

•The first thing to remember is to stay calm

•Turn off all of the gas cylinders connected to your gas install.

•Ensure the area you suspect the leak is located in is well ventilated. If inside, open windows and doors, and avoid using anything that will cause a spark eg:All appliances, Lighters or light switches. Do not use anything with an open flame like a candle.

•Keep children and pets out of the area

•Call Rothery’s Gas Services on 0450198046

Do NOT turn your gas cylinders back on until the install has been checked by a qualified gas fitter.

Remember we do weekend call-outs at weekday rates!

What a great upgrade for these customers in Mooloolah Valley over the weekend!

They called as they were having issues with the igniters on the cooktop constantly clicking. They opted for a full replacement of their cooktop which looks great!

Another gas leak repaired!
This customer from Caboolture contacted us today because she smelt gas as she was walking past her gas install.
She acted quickly and turned her cylinders off until we were able to take a look.
This type of leak required a full replacement of the regulator.
Same day service means there is another happy customer with working hot water tonight!!!
