It takes a village…
Meadowbank has been run as a farm and vineyard by the Ellis family since 1976. We are proud of this history and stewardship, but know that it takes many hands to do what we do.
We have been, and remain, incredibly fortunate to have fantastic people here. While Meadowbank is not short of natural asset, it is the people and team that ultimately bring it all together.
Mark Langlands (pictured) is Meadowbank’s viticulturist, having started here in 2024. Hailing originally from New Zealand, Mark brings technical expertise and focus to our vineyard operations, with a perspective informed by education and experience in NZ, AUS, France and the US.
While Mark arrived at Meadowbank as a viticulturist, he also happens to have been a professional road cyclist in a past life too, and it explains why he can usually be found in one of three places - in the vineyard, on the bike, or at the coffee machine! Whichever it is though, it’s invariably with a smile and being done in a meticulous manner, and we are rapt to have Mark (and his fiancé, Emily) here at Meadowbank.
It takes a village.
