Finally nursing registration lapse.
It feels strange to write those words after so many years. Nursing wasn’t just a job; it was a huge part of who I was. I had the privilege of caring for people during some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives, and I will always be grateful for that.
I loved being a nurse, and I was proud of the work I did. The friendships, the lessons, the laughter, the tears, and the countless lives that crossed my path have all helped shape the person I am today. Time off and the love of my new creative life I know I won’t be going back, and while there’s a sadness in closing that chapter, there’s also gratitude. Not everyone gets to say they truly loved what they did.
So this officially marks the end of an era. I’ll carry the memories, the skills, and the compassion nursing taught me for the rest of my life.
Thank you to everyone I worked alongside and cared for over the years. It was an honour.
As I step into this next chapter, I feel more aligned than ever with being an artist. Creativity has become a central part of who I am, and I’m excited to follow that path with the same passion and dedication I brought to nursing.
❤️ End of an era, but not the end of the story.
