Defensive Solutions Australia (DSA) is seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and experienced Martial Arts Instructors to become part of our team as we prepare to launch our Combat Training & Recovery Centre in late 2026.

📍 Location: Ormeau / Yatala, Queensland

We are currently looking for instructors in:

🥋 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Preferred)
🥋 Hapkido (Preferred)
🥋 All martial arts disciplines will be considered

“You can legally conceal carry a handgun in Australia.”

Not how you’re thinking though.

Unlike some countries, ordinary citizens can’t carry fi****ms for self-defence. However, certain professions can lawfully carry concealed handguns while working.

In Queensland, some Cash In Transit (CIT) and armed security officers are authorised to carry concealed fi****ms as part of their role, provided they hold the required licences, training and approvals.

The reason most people don’t know this is because they’re not meant to. The fi***rm isn’t there to be seen, make a statement, or attract attention. It’s carried discreetly and is only there as a last resort if an extreme situation unfolds.

So yes, concealed carry exists in Australia.

Just probably not in the way most people think.
