Warm, humid evenings, particularly after rain, can trigger thousands of winged termites (alates) to leave a mature underground colony in search of somewhere to start a new one.
You may notice them swarming around outdoor lights, windows, sinks or even inside your home.
And here’s the important bit…
Flying termites don’t necessarily mean your house has termites, but they DO mean there’s a mature termite colony somewhere nearby. 🏠
If you see a swarm, or find piles of discarded wings around your home, it’s worth having your property professionally inspected.
