🇫🇯🏝️ Fiji Tour Day 3 🇫🇯🏝️

Our Fiji tour could not have asked, or received a better start on the ground in Fiji than an invitation to tour the training and High Performance facility in Nadi, before we made our way along the Coral Coast to our accommodation in Pacific Harbour.

The boys were incredibly lucky to get to hear about the history of the Drua, the culture that they are instilling and the amazing work the Drua Foundation is doing to support grassroots rugby all across Fiji, her islands and the Pacific. It was truly inspiring to see the work they are doing and the boys got to see up close and personal what that work can lead to when they got a personalised tour of the facility by the Drua Luke Vasu, Drua Head of Athletic Performance.

The squad was also lucky to hear from Josefa Vanuaca, Head of Sales and Melissa Natawake, Head of the Fijian Drua Foundation to get amazing insight into the work that goes on behind the scenes to run a professional rugby franchise and how they are all so personally invested into building something the whole of the Pacific community can be proud of and aspire to be a part of. It was also great to quickly catch up with Drua CEO Jeff Miller and discuss all things rugby and catch up after many years.

After our time at the Drua finished up we hit the road for one of the most amazingly visual drives on the earth as we proceeded along the Coral Coast to our accommodation at the Uprising Resort, Pacific Harbour. The boys then enjoyed some down time in the resort and some much needed water recovery that quickly turned into pool rugby, and then moved into beach rugby, to which both coaches were excited to see the boys getting in some much needed contact work, and more importantly just having a great time.

Tuesday night also saw our jersey presentation which was live streamed back home and it was also amazing to see so many families in country attend and we are looking forward to having them on the sidelines of our games on Thursday & Friday.

🇫🇯🇫🇯 Bula, and we are off to Fiji 🏉🏉

Its been a hectic start to our 2026 Fiji 7s Tour with our Under 17 boys team assembling on the Gold Coast on Sunday morning to be put through a high intensity training camp designed to build connections, test skill levels and build awareness of each others game style and skill before we take on some of the best Fiji has to offer later in the week.

We have boys joining us from all over the Eastern Seaboard, Ratu from Charters Towers in North Queensland to Mason from Victoria and a very healthy mix of boys from New South Wales and Central Queensland joining those boys.

The boys are coming together incredibly well and are all excited about what lies ahead in our journey to Fiji.

We are about to jump on our flight and tomorrow we start the day with a tour of the Fijian Drua HQ before heading to our home base in Pacific Harbour.

Wolf #45, Rian, will be jetting off to the UK & Ireland in December as he seeks to spread his international rugby wings and play the game he loves in an environment set to test all the boys on this epic rugby adventure.

Rian is the epitome of the type of player who joins a Rugby Pathways tour, and this is what he had to say about the upcoming tour:

🇺🇸🗻🏙️ 2027 NAI 7s and New York Tour information Night...Tonight

If your son is born in either 2011 or 2012 and he would be interested in joining our 2027 NAI 7s tour we are holding a free information night tonight at 7pm (AEST) via zoom to discuss all aspects of the tour.

Our tours are open to any boys currently registered to an Australian rugby club or play rugby union or rugby 7s for their school.
