What else would you do on a Tuesday after helping with the Nangkita fire effort for two days but go for your MR synchro licence.

It seems the hours of sitting by his Dad watching him drive a heavy vehicle has paid off. Daniel waltzed through his driving test, with feedback that he was one of the best young drivers they had come through Southern Truck Training in a long time.

We are very proud and aware of the big responsibility it is driving a heavy vehicle on public roads.

Well, well, well...doesn't time fly when you're having fun!?

Last year Daniel drove the 2000L Dyna for us during the drought. This year to celebrate his 18th birthday (today) we've chucked L Plates on the Mitsi. He's out delivering water with his Dad getting some experience before going for his truck license at the end of January.

New truck passed its roadworthy on Thursday and was out delivering water today. The other faithful old truck is having a well deserved break and getting some TLC before going back to work.

Just a little visual representation of how extreme this year has been.

We fill in a delivery log for every load of water as required by SA Health.

The blue folder is 2023, the green is 2024 and the orange folder is this year...and it's growing every day.

We are praying for rain like everybody else 😪

What else would you do on a glorious 34 degree day, long weekend and all...?

Work of course 🤪! Two trucks out delivering water and a major scrub and tidy up happening behind the scenes on the new truck.

Roadworthy booked in for this Thursday at Murray Bridge. Should be on the road and delivering in the Hindmarsh Island/ Goolwa area soon.

New arrival!

Another Mitsubishi joins the fleet! A bit later model, a few more gee-gee's and even air-conditioning.

It's a few weeks off being put to work, but watch this space.

Massive shout out to Steve from Tilt Build Pty Ltd for dropping it in tonight and for being a great bloke to do business with.

The boys were pretty excited. A bit like working with children and animals...try get these good-lookin' roosters to look at the camera! 🤣🤣

Rob Solly Water Delivery is keeping up with demand in the area we live in and support; Goolwa, Hindmarsh Island and surrounding areas, but advanced bookings are recommended where possible.

Check out this article in the ABC news. My brother Jamie (who runs his water cartage business out of Victor) and I were interviewed about the drought and water supply issues across the Fleurieu. Even Daniel and the baby truck make an appearance.
3 Sollys, 2 businesses and 1 goal...keep stock alive and toilets flushing!

Rainwater tanks, dams, and springs are running dry in Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula while water carriers say they are struggling to meet the demand from both farmers and households.

Still working out how to get it to appear with a random google search using key words, but like all things, it's a work in progress.

We had lots of fun creating it and enjoyed the challenge of making a tired old man and his faithful truck look amazing! (Lucky for us the kid in his baby truck is cute!)
