Local artist Dirk Venema qualified as a brick layer in 1998 and has worked in Australia and overseas to refine his expertise in bricklaying and stone masonry. Dirk understands the particular requirements of restoration and is extremely passionate about preserving history and the stories of stone. Goolwa Brick, Stone & Glass Art offers services from standard bricklaying, heritage stone masonry and

new stone designs. Dirk works alongside customers to create unique and imaginative customer designed concepts. Dirk combines his love of brick and stone work with glass art; commencing glass blowing in 2004 and establishing his own studio in 2006. The incorporation of glass into stone designs offers a unique opportunity to create "one of" pieces
