🐟 What can 10 years of monitoring tell us about the Campaspe River?

Quite a lot, actually.

Our latest monitoring report points to a resilient river, with growing fish diversity, healthy habitat and more than 1,200 fish, plant and other aquatic species identified.

There were some exciting firsts in there too, including the first recording of the endangered Freshwater Catfish.

Our next Environment Review Committee (ERC) meeting is happening tomorrow, Wednesday 12 August.

The ERC brings together FGM, regulators, local government and community representatives to talk about environmental performance, current projects and what’s coming up across site.

These regular meetings are a valuable opportunity to share updates, answer questions and keep the conversation going around our operations and environmental management.

On International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we recognise and celebrate the strength, resilience, cultures and contributions of Indigenous Peoples around the world.

This year's theme, Honouring Indigenous Midwives: Safeguarding Life and Wellbeing, recognises the vital role Indigenous midwives play in supporting mothers, babies, families and communities while helping to preserve cultural knowledge, practices and connections across generations.

At Fosterville Gold Mine, we acknowledge the enduring connection Indigenous Peoples have with Country, culture and community, and the importance of working together to create respectful partnerships, strengthen understanding and support positive outcomes for future generations.

A little throwback to last year’s Be.Bendigo and Bendigo Bank's Bendigo Business Excellence Awards Gala, with just one week to go until we get to do it all again! ✨

As a major sponsor of Be.Bendigo, we’re proud to support an event that brings Bendigo’s business community together to celebrate the people and businesses doing great things across our region.

We’ll see you at the 2026 Business Excellence Awards Gala next Thursday 13 August.

Good luck to all of this year’s finalists!

Progress is continuing on the Robbins Hill Power Upgrade, this important infrastructure project will provide additional power capacity for ventilation systems and underground operations in the northern part of our site.

The project is being delivered in stages, with initial power upgrades already complete. As work continues, neighbours may notice some daytime trenching and vehicle movements within our mining licence area. No night works are planned, and environmental monitoring will continue throughout the project.

Ever wondered what it takes to be part of an Emergency Response Team? 🚒

From today until Thursday 6 August, members of our Emergency Response Team will be completing the Fire and Hazardous Materials component of their Certificate III in Emergency Response.

This forms part of our regular emergency preparedness program and is one of several specialist training modules the team undertakes throughout the year, alongside ongoing refresher training, to keep their skills current.

During this period, people on site and in the surrounding area may notice smoke, fire appliances and ERT personnel responding to simulated emergency scenarios. There is no cause for concern, as these activities are planned training exercises.

A big thank you to our Emergency Services Officers and volunteer ERT members for the dedication they continue to bring to maintaining a safe and prepared workplace.

We're proud to partner with the McKern Steel Foundation to support the Fresh Fruit Friday program, helping students at Goornong Primary School, Axedale Primary School and Eppalock Primary School enjoy fresh, healthy fruit each week.
