A little bit of good news from a local Gosford business 😊
I’m very pleased to have been selected as a Regional Finalist in the 2026 Business NSW Central Coast Business Awards.
A Plus TAX Aid has been part of the Gosford business community for many years, so it is especially nice to receive this recognition here on the Central Coast.
Thank you to everyone in our local community who has supported us over the years!

日本最東端に位置する南鳥島周辺の排他的経済水域の海底に存在するレアアース泥の「採取試験」の結果が公表されました。

今回、世界で初めて、約6,000メートルの深海から引き揚げた、「約50トン」のレアアース泥の成分が判明しました。

なかでも、レアアース泥に含まれるレアアースの３割を占める「イットリウム」は、世界的に稀少であり、半導体製造装置のコーティング剤や、排気ガスに含まれる有害な窒素酸化物を浄化する触媒をはじめ、半導体や自動車産業などで使われており、我が国にとって重要なレアアースです。

今回の成果を踏まえ、来年2月、本格的な採鉱試験を実施する予定です。
海洋研究開発機構（JAMSTEC）をはじめとする関係各位のご尽力に改めて敬意を表します。

レアアースをはじめとする重要な物資については、特定国に過度に依存することのないよう、サプライチェーンの強靭化に向けた取組を、官民を挙げて、取り組んでまいります。

本展では、外交・経済・文化・人的交流といった幅広い分野における協力の広がりと深化を、写真やエピソードとともに紹介し、今日一層重要性を深める日豪関係を振り返ります。

The exhibition “Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Signing of the Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation and the Establishment of the Australia-Japan Foundation” will open from 17 June at the Diplomatic Archives of Japan as a special joint exhibition by the Australian Embassy and the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Through photographs and stories, the exhibition highlights the depth and breadth of cooperation across diplomacy, trade, culture, and people-to-people exchange, reflecting on the enduring importance of the Australia–Japan partnership today.
