Pulling down an old fence is easy. Dealing with metres of wire laying in the grass like a bloody bird’s nest isn’t.

That’s exactly why we built the Hand Wire Reclaimer. Wind good fencing wire back up neatly and reuse it straight onto your standard wire spinner.

A few tricks before you start winding: Walk the fence first and free the wire from clips, staples, grass and rubbish. Cut out badly rusted, kinked or damaged sections rather than winding trouble into the roll. Straighten sharp bends as you go and keep a little steady tension on the wire while winding, going on means neat coming off.

When you’re finished, secure the loose end properly so the coil can’t spring loose. Store reclaimed wire upright, dry and preferably under cover, off wet soil and away from fertiliser or chemicals that can speed up corrosion. And if you’ve reclaimed different gauges or wire types, tag the roll before you forget what it is.
Happy Fencing!

Well Henty is done and dusted for another year. We just wanted to shout out to all the lovely patient people that stopped by this year. It was a tough one as poor Sam took a tumble out of the truck and broke a rib or two, then our number one helper, went down sick with severe tonsillitis resulting in a dash to Holbrook medical centre and straight off to Albury Hospital. So if we seemed off our game, we absolutely were. Our wonderful new helper had his first ever field day experience by fire 🔥 dumped in the deep end to hold down the forte! Our Thunderbird Ag rep was a total gem who also took up a huge part of the load going far above and beyond.
So thank you all for your continued support each year and your patience this year.

They’ve lived behind the ute seat, been left on a strainer post overnight, copped rain, mud and probably been used as a hammer at least once.

But because they are stainless steel they’re still not rusty.
The joint’s aren’t stiff.
The cutters still go hard at a bit of wire.
And you’re standing in the paddock wondering how you ever managed with any other type of plier!
