It may seem simplistic, but what l have never got tired of after living in our garden for 25 years is the SPACE we have to the north of the house. Defined by the canopy of trees and garden beds, the space creates a sense of peace and tranquility.
Some would be tempted to fill it with a fabulous rose garden or spectacular water feature, but no…the uncluttered space is enough.

Rotherwood in Sutton Forest, a parkland & garden we designed 21 years ago, (see photos) sold two years ago for a record then of $23.5M. With Linden Hall of Robertson, another one of our designs, eclipsing this price with $26M, we are quietly proud to have designed the gardens of both properties that have achieved the highest value within the Southern Highlands.
I look forward to the imminent sale of Greenbriar Park of Mittagong, another designed by us 35 years ago.

Another combination l’m enjoying this spring in our garden is this hot, sunny location where the crepe-like pink flowers of rockrose thrives, along with Indian hawthorn, the worm grey of santolina and the fine-leafed foliage of achillea. It’s all about contrasting colour and texture.

For a bit of entertainment this Easter, check out the latest Belle Magazine, page 165. We designed the Master Plan for this property west of Albury which provides a good example of celebrating the original homestead and adding adjoining wings of a contemporary style, together with modern landscape elements including an infinity pool.

Bea and Bonnie loving the hellebores that are in full bloom at home. Their purple and white flowers make this dark spot in the chillier months a bit brighter!

What a spring!
Our garden, Summerhill, last weekend. The wisteria in full bloom across the eastern verandah and Melianthus major going ballistic with it's deep red flowers full of honey. We are so fortunate to have such a garden to play with during lockdown in Goulburn.
