♻️ A LOCAL STORY WORTH CELEBRATING! 🌿💚

We’re incredibly proud to see one of our wonderful local customers, Don Bambrick, recognised for the difference he is making right here on the Capricorn Coast.
Since 2020, Don has been collecting eligible containers from around our community and donating the 10¢ refunds to Capricorn Coast Landcare — raising an incredible $8,000+ to support local conservation efforts! 🌱👏

It’s a great reminder that a container doesn’t have to be rubbish. Every container can make a difference — reducing litter, protecting our environment and supporting organisations doing great things in our community.

We’re very proud that Container Refund Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast has been able to play a small part in Don’s story and help turn his containers into care for Country. 💚

I’m incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to join Nyree Johnson on her podcast and share a little about what drives me every day.

For me, Containers for Change has never just been about recycling. It's about creating opportunities for our local schools, sporting clubs, charities and community groups to raise much-needed funds while making a positive impact on the environment.

We also talked about leadership, family business, community, and the importance of leaving people and places a little better than you found them. That simple philosophy has shaped so much of what we do at Container Refund Rockhampton & Capricorn Coast.

I’ll admit I was pretty nervous in front of the camera, but I’m proud that I stepped outside my comfort zone. I know I’ve still got plenty to learn, and I hope this is just the first of many conversations as I continue to build my confidence talking about the work we're doing in our community.

A huge thank you to Nyree for making me feel welcome and for giving me the opportunity to share our story.
