We regularly get asked whether milk bottles and cartons can be returned for a 10¢ refund.

The answer? It depends on the type of milk and the container!

Before bringing your containers in, check out this helpful guide from Containers for Change Queensland to see what's eligible and what's not. 👇

We’re proud to be part of a network serving communities across Rockhampton – Park Avenue, Capricorn Coast – Yeppoon & Emu Park, Mount Morgan, Moura and Woorabinda.

♻️ WOORABINDA — WHAT AN INCREDIBLE MILESTONE! 💚

300,000+ containers returned. $30,000+ back into the community. And we’re just getting started!

This is the power of a community getting behind Containers for Change — and it’s something our team is incredibly proud to be a part of.

Since the Containers for Change pop-up began in Woorabinda, the community has returned more than 300,000 eligible containers, putting over $30,000 in refunds back into the hands of local residents.

But the impact goes well beyond the numbers.

♻️ Fewer containers going to landfill
💰 More refund money staying within the community
🤝 Easier access to Containers for Change without having to travel elsewhere

Every second Thursday, our Container Refund Rockhampton team makes the trip to Woorabinda — and seeing the support the service continues to receive makes every trip worthwhile.

We’re proud to work alongside Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council and Container Exchange to help make the scheme more accessible to regional and remote Queensland communities.

Most of all, the credit belongs to the Woorabinda community. More than 300,000 containers returned is an incredible achievement, and we're proud to play our part in making it possible. 💚♻️

This is what Containers for Change is all about — creating real environmental, financial and community benefits, one container at a time.

💰 It all adds up! ♻️

Every eligible container you return is worth 10¢ — and before you know it, those containers can help pay for the little things. ☕🍣🎬

🥤 5 containers = 50¢
☕ 50 containers = $5
🍣 100 containers = $10
🎬 250 containers = $25

So don’t throw that 10¢ away! Save your eligible containers, bring them into your local Container Refund Point and turn your recycling into cash. 💵♻️

♻️ A LOCAL STORY WORTH CELEBRATING! 🌿💚

We’re incredibly proud to see one of our wonderful local customers, Don Bambrick, recognised for the difference he is making right here on the Capricorn Coast.
Since 2020, Don has been collecting eligible containers from around our community and donating the 10¢ refunds to Capricorn Coast Landcare — raising an incredible $8,000+ to support local conservation efforts! 🌱👏

It’s a great reminder that a container doesn’t have to be rubbish. Every container can make a difference — reducing litter, protecting our environment and supporting organisations doing great things in our community.

We’re very proud that Container Refund Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast has been able to play a small part in Don’s story and help turn his containers into care for Country. 💚

A massive thank you to Don for his commitment, and to the volunteers at Capricorn Coast Landcare for everything they do to protect and restore our beautiful part of Queensland.
