Alure Craft Ocean-X Hybrid Walkaround

Alure Craft’s new Ocean-X Hybrid combines an aluminium hull with a fibreglass centre cabin and walkaround. The new owners are currently in Exmouth with some pretty rough seas around but it's still an amazingly smooth ride in this unique new boat by all reports.

The Ocean-X is perfect for Karratha with the fibreglass cabin and walkaround area not heating up nearly as much as aluminium. Having the cabin slightly more aft has also resulted in the best ride from an Alure Craft boat so far.

Alure Craft Ocean-X Hybrid Sea Trial

Today was the very first sea trial of Alure Craft’s new Ocean-X Hybrid that combines an aluminium hull with a fibreglass centre cabin and walkaround.

After winds in excess 40 knots the day before, seas were very unpredictable and rough but the Ocean-X Hybrid exceeded everybody’s expectations, including the new owners who were blown away by the ride.

They had previously owned several ally and glass boats and were impressed by the very soft and quiet ride with no bone crunching slams despite the nasty conditions.

The vessel did not broach at all in a following sea and the overwhelming response was that it had more than exceeded what Alure Craft’s Hybrid Design set out to do.

It’s now straight off to Exmouth for two weeks of serious fishing with some extremely satisfied new owners so check it out if you’re up that way.
