Are your procedures for Alarm Responses up to date?
Effective the 1st April 2023 police responses to false alarms in NSW will incur a $1600 fine for each event after the first instance for the month. Now, more than ever, it is more cost effective to have your building's alarm system report to a security firm, rather than rely on the NSW Police Service. This action is to bring the Police Service into line with the NSW Fire Brigade and other agencies who also charge for multiple attendances to a premises where the result is deemed to be a false alarm.
