Yarra Yering has been named No. 3 in the Halliday Top 100 W**eries for 2026, a recognition we’re so proud to share with our entire team.

Join Sarah Crowe and the Yarra Yering team at Navi on Thursday 29th October for an intimate evening tracing the evolution of Underhill Shiraz.

Across eight vintages spanning two decades, Sarah will share a selection of defining expressions of this singular w**e, speaking to the stylistic changes she has shaped since becoming Yarra Yering’s w**emaker in 2013.

For the occasion, chef-owner Julian Hills has created a bespoke multi-course tasting menu, thoughtfully paired with twelve Yarra Yering w**es.

The 2025 Spring Release has arrived, bringing together five new w**es: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Dry Red W**e No. 3, Dry White W**e No. 2 and Crécy Chardonnay.

An uninterrupted season of warm days, cool nights and well-timed rain allowed each variety to be harvested at its ideal moment, producing w**es with concentration, freshness and precision.

Dry White W**e No. 2 welcomes the first appearance of Aligoté at Yarra Yering, from vines planted in 2021. It joins Grenache Blanc, now in its second vintage, and Viognier — a small but exciting evolution of the vineyard that continues our exploration of what belongs here while staying true to the individuality and detail that define Yarra Yering.

Congratulations to our Vineyard Manager Andrew George, who has been named a finalist for the 2027 Halliday W**e Companion Viticulturist of the Year Award.

Since 2012, Andrew has led the care of Yarra Yering’s dry-grown vineyards with a focus on vine health, sustainability and long-term resilience.

In announcing the shortlist, Philip Rich recognised Andrew’s “patient, methodical improvement of vine health across Yarra Yering’s ancient soils” and described his work rejuvenating the Underhill vineyard as “transformative”.

We are proud to see Andrew’s contribution recognised on the national stage and congratulate all fellow finalists whose dedication continues to strengthen Australian viticulture.

As part of the EcoVineyards program, microbat boxes have been installed across the vineyard - creating habitat for native species and supporting a more balanced ecosystem.

Recent acoustic monitoring has confirmed seven species of insectivorous bats on site, including a threatened species.

Small, largely unseen, and highly effective - microbats can consume thousands of insects each night, playing a natural role in vineyard pest control and reducing reliance on chemical intervention, alongside other natural systems already at work in the vineyard.

The category recognises w**egrowers shaping w**es from vineyard to bottle — a complete expression of site, season and intent.

The nomination is a deeply meaningful recognition of the work, the care, and the people behind the w**es. It’s a privilege to be named alongside W**es and SC Pannell - the winner will be announced on 11 May.
