Askew Park is moving to Gunnedah for exciting new adventures. We would like to thank all our wonderful customers that have supported us over the past years whilst we were in Herons Creek. AP Smooth Velvet aka Diesel
This horse is my current project. I have had him now since October 2015 but it has only been since December 2016 that I have started to ride and train him consistently. I am happy to say that he is coming along nicely and we are hoping to head to our first competition in a couple of weeks.
Diesel is a 7yr old ott thoroughbred. He has had about 2 years off the track and had been sitting in the paddock not doing much when I got him. He has come a long way but still has a long way to go but he is such a lovely boy with a great character I am enjoying my time with him. He is very smart and amazingly flexible. I am looking forward to seeing what our future holds. I'll continue to post our progress as we go.

What a beautiful morning for a snooze!

What a fantastic weekend it has been at the Camden Haven Show. Starting off with Twilight dressage on the Friday night, I am so proud of three of my students for competing, Shelby Green did a fantastic job on Jack in her two Prep tests, Zoe Groth rode beautifully on her mare Holly in her two prelim tests and Olivia Telfer did her first ever dressage tests and placed 4th and 7th.
Day two Olivia placed 2nd in the 60 cm and Zoe won the open flags, a fantastic result for the girls.
Day three Olivia focused on hacking and rode beautifully to win the local hack and the junior lady hack, placed 2nd in the junior lady rider, the intermediate hack and the hack 16.2h and over and place 3rd in the novice hack.
Olivia also went on to win the Camden Haven Pony Club Bob Boyd Memorial Trophy for highest overall point score.
This was after last week at Taree show winning the Novice Hack, the Novice Junior rider, placing second in Hack over 16.2h and Rider over 15yrs and under 17yrs as well as placing 1st in the 50cm, 70cm and 75cm and placing 2nd in the 60cm.
Congratulations girls I am so proud of all of you. Keep up all your hard work and dedication.
You are all an absolute pleasure to teach and I wish you all continued success.
