An Update on some of the brumbies from our latest camp a few weeks ago. ‚Dot‘ and Elise are busy mustering cattle and our Tassie brumbies are enjoying the great indoors and the beach. Talk about a mix of work and play!

It’s pretty incredible to think that these guys were wild only a few weeks ago.

Who wants to see more ‚where are they now‘ updates?

Banjo is back!
Part 2 is here for those Banjo supporters who have been asking for an update. If you haven’t seen Part 1, go back and have a look 👀 this beautiful boy has really transformed into a paddock puppy!

He was very lucky to end up with Ruby, a wonderful young brumby advocate and owner - she has 7 now, but who’s counting!

Thanks to the wonderful Steph from The Bush Pony for this reel and for telling Banjo‘s story.

We all want to be like Elise when we grow up. For those who don’t remember Elise from our last brumby camp, she is an absolute power house and a real go-getter.

It’s been a pleasure having her at camp again, this time with a trickier mare who wasn’t too keen to make things easy. Elise persevered, learnt, adapted and excelled. Grit and consistency are such important qualities when starting brumbies. Not only that, but Elise was up every morning at dawn to help clean yards and feed brumbies. We all joked that she drank too much coffee.

Her mare ‚Dot‘ made the ten hour trip home and was put straight to work, having her first long reining sessions and ride in the cattle yards before meeting some cattle today.

Amazing 👏

Just catching our breath after another amazing ten day camp. 25 brumbies have found exceptional homes, 11 participants have learnt, shared and grown in their horsemanship and amazing partnerships were formed.

It’s a big responsibility for us trainers to get participants and brumbies home safely and it’s a real joy to see them settling in to their new homes and continuing their education.

Thanks for being part of the journey 🐴
