Richard is a licensed Electrical fitter mechanic and electrical contractor, holds a current general premises cabling

license, completed an Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering in industrial electronics and control systems. Richard gained the Advanced Diploma in Renewable Energy in 2006 and is accredited with Clean Energy Council

Richard’s duties cover the more technical side of the business, design, installation, training, technical advice, faults repairs and service work. Richard has worked extensively with battery and inverter systems for his entire working life, having begun his career as an electrical apprentice with the Federal Governments Department of Aviation, where quality and reliability was an essential work ethic, and advancing to Senior Technical Officer in the 17 years he was employed there. As a senior technician in the project section, Richard was responsible for design, management and installation of backup power supply systems for 8 Aviation radar sites all up the Queensland Coast. Each of these projects was worth several million dollars, with Richard managing up to 6 staff in remote locations. These systems included;
● Diesel generators up to 500 kw,
● 3phase 20-60 kw UPS with associated large battery banks
● Total site wiring with 3 bus distribution systems
● 50 volt DC systems up to 20 kw
● Control, data and monitoring systems. of Aviation, Richard worked with, and received extensive in-house training in:
● Petrol and Diesel driven generating sets, primary, standby, mobile, and no-break configurations, from 3kw to 1.0MW.
● Air-conditioning systems
● Battery based power supply systems 12 to 450 volt dc
● Inverters both 1 and 3 phase 500watt to 100 KW
● Technical lighting systems for commercial, industrial, navigation
● Automation systems
● Monitoring systems
● Data and remote communication systems
● Radio and communications
● HV, LV and ELV distribution and protection systems
● OH&S, first aid, resuscitation, and LV rescue
● Staff training and assessment

Lynne has been involved in many businesses and industries, and has been involved in the solar industry for 12 years, having completed the Advanced Diploma, in renewable energy. She provides assistance with the design and installation of solar projects, as well as taking care of the office duties: accounts, records, research, system documentation, advertising, public relations and computer duties. CSS are committed to continuing staff professional development and skills maintenance, to keep up to date with the latest developments and technology in this rapidly changing industry.
