Sparrowly Group

Sparrowly Group Problem Solvers, Opportunity Creators We believe that organisations are powerhouses for creating change and creating a better future for the world.

So if organisations are thriving, so too will communities, industries, economies, and individuals. That’s why our vision isn’t about us. It’s about the work we do as management consultants having a far-reaching impact – impact that’s immediate as well as for the future. We solve problems and create opportunities for organisations and people, so they can thrive. And we support them to become robust

and resilient, and thrive through change. As for our day-to-day, our consultancy work takes many forms. We advise, we strategise and we co-create. The projects we work on are varied and complex. And we like it that way – we prefer to be the team behind the scenes that helps organisations and people make an impact. Because the best growth happens when people are enriched with knowledge, skills and aptitude for continuous improvement. Where innovation is built into the process. When decisions are made on evidence and data. And when success positively influences the people in the organisation, the community and environment around it. We empower teams and people with the strategic direction and tools they need to help them make a positive impact. We make connections between people and concepts to improve and innovate. Our team is cross disciplinary – which means our management consultants solve problems and create opportunities in ways that are lateral, evidence driven and customer centric.

*United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15 - Life on Land*

We aim to protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of ecosystems, recognising that healthy landscapes, productive farmland, natural environments and biodiversity are fundamental to thriving communities and economies.

Across our work at Sparrowly Group, we help governments, industries and communities better understand, protect and sustainably activate the natural assets that make places unique. This includes supporting agritourism development, improving accessibility to nature-based experiences, undertaking sustainable destination and product planning, and helping communities connect with the landscapes that underpin their identity, wellbeing and prosperity.

We believe environmental sustainability and economic development should work hand in hand. Many of the projects we deliver focus on creating opportunities for communities while encouraging stewardship of natural environments, responsible land use and long-term resilience.

For us, thriving landscapes support thriving communities. The way we work reflects the same principles we apply to projects: stewardship, sustainability and long-term thinking.

We recently had the chance to speak with Camille Smith and The Weekly Times on the opportunities for agricultural diversification into tourism in rural communities.

We are also very proud to see one of our mentees from our Agritourism Development Program for Visit Ballarat (Tourism Midwest Victoria) featured - Chelsea Hayes of Hayes Girl Highlands who will be launching a new visitor experience in 2027.

Thank you so much for the opportunity Camille.

*United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities*

We aim to make cities and communities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, recognising that thriving places are built through strong infrastructure, community participation, cultural connection, accessibility and long-term planning.

Sparrowly Group helps governments, industries, and communities build liveable, inclusive places. Our work spans regional strategy, investment attraction, accessibility, business cases and cultural infrastructure. We facilitate community engagement to help regional industries remain resilient and sustainable.

We believe successful communities go beyond physical infrastructure. They are inclusive, resilient places where people are connected, empowered to participate, and equipped to adapt to future change.

This also extends to how we work internally. We champion flexibility, inclusion and connection. Whether working remotely or in the office, we foster a supportive environment where everyone can contribute meaningfully. We believe that resilient people and organisations are the foundation of resilient communities.

HOT OFF THE PRESS - NEW SPARROWLY GROUP RESEARCH PAPER LAUNCH

Today, we share with the agriculture, tourism and wellness industries our latest research paper, “Cultivating Wellness.” The paper explores the growing intersection between agriculture, tourism, and wellbeing, highlighting how agritourism is evolving beyond farm visits into meaningful, wellness-driven experiences that connect people to food, place, and purpose.
It also examines the rise of regenerative and experience-led travel, and the value agritourism brings to regional economies and communities.
This paper will be shared at the Global Agritourism Conference in Scotland this month to a global network of agritourism businesses and researchers and service providers.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10 - Reduced Inequalities*

We aim to reduce inequalities by improving access to opportunities, information, employment and experiences, recognising that participation is often shaped by the systems around us.

Across our work at Sparrowly Group, we support governments, industries and communities to identify and address barriers that prevent people from fully participating. This includes evaluating workforce programs, improving transport access, strengthening accessibility in tourism and public spaces, developing accessible communication tools and supporting industries to embed inclusion into everyday practice.

From accessibility audits across destinations, businesses and national parks, through to workforce participation research and practical training programs, our work seeks to ensure more people can access opportunities regardless of geography, disability or circumstance.

This also extends to how we work internally. We recognise that people contribute differently depending on their experiences and strengths. Through flexible work practices, mentoring, continuous learning and valuing diverse perspectives, we aim to create an environment where people are included, feel supported to grow and contribute meaningfully. For us, reducing inequalities means designing systems, workplaces and experiences that work for more people, not fewer.

Last week Federico Moreno facilitated a panel discussion at the City of Parramatta Lord Mayor's (Martin Zaiter) Business Forum on 'People - How can your business adapt to be future ready?'.

On the panel, Jahin Tanvir, Shuoyan Zhu and Don Wright provided excellent insights around what it's like to start a business in Parramatta, and the state of innovation and start-ups in the community. We were reminded of the importance of trust, backing yourself, community-building, starting small and following your passions.

The event also marked the launch of the City Economy Strategy 2026–2036, which sets an ambitious target of 150,000 new jobs in the LGA by 2050. This important target will help cement Parramatta's position as Sydney's second CBD, and retain its commercial cores to provide jobs for all of Greater Western Sydney. In Fed's role sitting on the City Economy Advisory Panel, he's provided input and feedback on the strategy, which you can view here:
