Sometimes what happened to us, or words spoken over us, can quietly become something we begin to believe about ourselves.

I’ve been forgotten.
I don’t have anything of real value to contribute.
Maybe I’ve missed what God had for me.

But what if those are conclusions Christ never spoke over you?

What happened may have been real. The hurt may have been real. But neither your experiences nor another person’s words have the authority to define who you are or determine what God can still do through a life surrendered to Him.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

You are His.

You have not been forgotten.

And you don’t have to have everything figured out.

Remain close to Christ. Allow Him to remind you of who you are and Whose you are, and trust Him to continue revealing His purposes as you walk with Him.

Let His Word and truth have the final say in your life.

What if you believe you’re the last person God could use? Perhaps you feel too old. Too young. Too inexperienced. Too ordinary.

Perhaps you’ve made mistakes you wish you could undo. Perhaps you’ve experienced failure. Or hurt and disappointment have left you wondering whether the years have passed you by.

Maybe you’ve looked at what God is doing through others and quietly wondered:
“What could He possibly do through me?”

When we meet Moses in Exodus 3, he isn’t standing confidently before Pharaoh.
He’s in the wilderness.

Years earlier, Moses had fled Egypt after killing an Egyptian. And there, in Midian, he remained for years.

Then God called his name.

Moses didn’t respond with confidence. He asked: “Who am I...?” (Exodus 3:11)

And God’s response is beautiful.

He didn’t begin by reminding Moses of his abilities. He didn’t give him a list of qualifications. He simply said: “I will be with you.” (Exodus 3:12)

Perhaps you’ve been looking at everything you believe disqualifies you:
Your age. Your inexperience. Your failures. Your painful seasons. The years you think you’ve lost.

But perhaps you’re looking at the wrong measure.

God’s invitation isn’t first to believe more in yourself.

It’s to trust more deeply in Him.

The wilderness wasn’t the end of Moses’ story.

And perhaps the season you’ve walked through isn’t the end of yours either.

You don’t need to rush ahead and work out what God might do next.

Remain close to Him.

And perhaps spend some time with this question:
“Father, what have You been forming in me through the very seasons I thought had disqualified me?”

Have you ever felt a stirring in your heart that you couldn't quite explain?

Perhaps you've found yourself returning to the same burden, the same question, or the same longing over and over again. You may have wondered why it won't leave you alone.

Before you assume you need an answer, I invite you to consider another possibility.

What if that stirring is the Lord inviting you into a deeper conversation with Him?

When we look at Nehemiah's life, we don't see someone who immediately set out to rebuild Jerusalem's walls. We first see a man whose heart was deeply moved by the brokenness of God's people. He wept. He mourned. He fasted. He prayed. He sought the Lord before taking a single step (Nehemiah 1).

The stirring wasn't the end of the story. In fact, it became part of the Father's preparation as Nehemiah continued seeking Him.

Throughout Scripture, God often stirred hearts long before He revealed the next step. He drew people closer to Himself before He entrusted them with greater responsibility.

So don't rush to define the stirring.

Bring it before Him. Sit with Him. Search the Scriptures. Ask Him to renew your mind and shape your heart.

If you've been carrying a quiet stirring, don't ignore it. Instead, simply ask: "Father, what are You inviting me to recognise?"

God has been preparing you longer than you realise.

Sometimes we spend so much time looking ahead that we miss the quiet story God has already been writing.

The ordinary seasons. The unexpected detours. The lessons. The waiting. The people. The recurring Scriptures. The burdens that never quite leave your heart.

What if none of those moments were wasted?

What if the Father has been faithfully preparing you all along?

Perhaps today’s invitation isn’t to search for something new.

Perhaps it’s simply to recognise His faithfulness.

The opposite of comparison isn't confidence. It's conviction.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

For years, I believed people compared themselves to others because they lacked confidence.

But as I've reflected on my own journey and the privilege I've had of walking alongside so many women, I now see something much deeper.

Comparison often isn't a confidence problem.

It's a conviction problem.

When we haven't fully recognised who God created us to be and how He has been preparing us, it's so easy to look around and think... "If only I were more like her."

Have you ever caught yourself thinking that?

I know I have.

One of the greatest joys of my work, both when I worked in the career industry and now as I mentor Christian coaches and consultants, is helping women step back and see the whole picture.

Not just their qualifications. Not just their achievements. But the beautiful way God has woven together their gifts, strengths, personality, experiences, challenges, lessons, and wisdom.

I remember one woman in particular.

She questioned whether she had enough expertise to position herself as a specialist. As we talked, she began to see something she'd never really noticed before.

It wasn't one qualification that made her credible.

It wasn't one achievement. It was the unique way God had woven everything together throughout her life. The challenges she'd overcome. The wisdom she'd gained. The people she could now understand because she'd once walked where they were.

And I watched something shift.

She finally recognised who God had created her to be...and how He had been preparing her all along.

That recognition became conviction. And that conviction changed everything.

She stopped trying to become someone else. She stopped questioning whether she was enough. She simply began faithfully stewarding what God had already entrusted to her.

That's why I now believe...the opposite of comparison isn't confidence. It's conviction.

Because conviction quietly says,
"This is who God created me to be."
"This is what He has been preparing me for."

And when that happens... comparison begins to lose its grip.

Have you ever found yourself working harder and harder... yet feeling less and less at peace? As entrepreneurs, it's easy to slip into striving without even realising it.

For a long time, I assumed striving simply meant working too hard. Now I realise it's much deeper than that.

Two people can work equally hard. One can be striving. The other can be faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to them. The difference isn't the number of hours they work.

It's their heart.
It's their posture.
It's their source.

I've been reflecting on how easy it is, even with the best of intentions, to begin carrying burdens the Lord never asked us to carry. We quietly become responsible for every outcome, every opportunity and every result. Before we know it, we've slipped from trusting Him to relying on ourselves.

Yet the Lord keeps bringing me back to one simple truth: He never asked me to be the source.

He simply asked me to be faithful, which changes everything.

Work becomes worship. Pressure gives way to peace. Comparison begins to lose its grip.

The more I've sat with this, the more I've realised that stewardship isn't about working less. It's about working from a different place.

A place of gratitude rather than proving.
A place of dependence rather than self-reliance.
A place of worship rather than performance.

I've shared these images today that explore this idea further. My prayer is that it doesn't simply give you something to think about, but that it creates space for you to pause and ask the Lord where He may be inviting you to exchange striving for faithful stewardship.

May we continue to lean into Him, allowing Him to renew our minds so that everything we do flows from His strength rather than our own.

I wonder if one of the reasons so many business owners feel exhausted is because they’re constantly trying to keep up with changing methods.

A new platform. A new algorithm. A new marketing strategy. A new AI tool.

Methods have their place, but they were never designed to be our foundation.

Principles are.

They become the foundation for the decisions we make. They shape our message, inform our intellectual property, guide our business, and influence how we lead and serve.

In fact, the stronger your principles, the easier it becomes to discern which methods are worth adopting and which ones simply aren’t aligned.

Trends come and go. Wise principles endure.

One timeless principle that has shaped my work is this:
“Your greatest credibility, influence, and impact come from embracing and expressing who God uniquely created you to be.”

I believe that will still be true long after today’s platforms, trends, and technologies have changed.
