Securior Tips if you are travelling Overseas
1-Register with Smartraveller.gov.au and check what advise/information they have about your travel destination
2- when booking a Hotel try to book a room at the back of the hotel. Evidence shows attacks tend to come in through front entrance. Been at the back, your chance of getting caught are reduced
3- Try NOT to book rooms above 2nd or 3rd floor. If you have to escape you have less distance to travel to get out.
4- Once you have checked in your room, go have a look at where emergency exits are and other escape routes. Never use the elevator if something happens. Elevators often takes you down to ground floor/reception area where these incidents starts.it is a risk/danger area
5- when moving around outside your hotel, stay away from any high risk areas such as Embassies, consulates, police or military posts.
6- Stay alert and observant of your surroundings, never ignore any signs of unusual happenings, and mostly your gut feeling.
Securior wishes you safe travel.
