Our Victoria University project for ISPT is progressing well with the facades now installed to level 8 and structure complete to level 17. All is tracking well for an early 2022 completion.

Case Meallin are proud to be working on the Walk-Up Village, 81-89 Rupert Street, Collingwood which was approved last month by the Minister for Planning as part of the work by Building Victoria's Recovery Taskforce.

The project is being developed by Molonglo, and has been designed by London-based 6a architects working with local practice, Fender Katsalidis Architects. Construction will start on site in 2021.

Collingwood was historically a factory neighbourhood and is now a centre for the city’s creative industries.

The project weaves together workspaces, artist studios, galleries, community spaces, a hotel, cinema, restaurants and retail in several new buildings intertwined with gardens, designed by internationally acclaimed Dan Pearson Studio. A series of outdoor terraces, bridges and staircases will form a public route through the building and act as spaces for work and production. Small and affordable tenancies are planned alongside a rooftop garden and community hall.

The new building reinterprets the local industrial vernacular to celebrate multiculturalism and an openness to the public.
