Applying for another Student visa? Check these two things first: where you can apply, and whether priority processing applies.
Our three simple guides cover:
1. Onshore or offshore application rules
2. Who may receive special priority processing
3. Six examples, including Bachelor to VET Graduate Diploma and nursing placements
Changed providers or need more than 12 extra months? You may need to apply offshore. Check whether a separate exemption applies.
Some complete offshore applications with satisfactory study progress may receive special priority. Home Affairs is seeking to finalise eligible complete applications within 5 business days. This is a target—not a promise or a guaranteed visa grant. Early transfers, lengthy deferrals, non-commencement or limited progress can mean standard processing instead.
