established in the Swan Valley by Dustin and Martin Michael, the two country brothers from Toodyay, the duo also behind Michael Brothers cold-pressed juice and craft sodas. their experience with cold-pressed juice has influenced their ciders to reach a new world of flavour. in 2020 funk cider purchased former Evans & Tate Winery in Henley Brook and introduced funk beer, funk project (hybrids) and

Our Story

Dustin and Martin Michael are 2 young country guys that wanted to show Perth just how awesome cider can be! The Michael brothers launched a cold pressed juice company; Michael Brothers Traditionally Pressed Juice back in 2012 from their family farm in Toodyay. These cold pressed and unpasteurised juices inspired them to create a healthy alcoholic offshoot. Then came FUNK Cider house! It opened its doors in 2016, releasing 12 unique and ever rotating craft ciders! The innovative duo broke the norm by brewing unpasteurised ciders that do NOT contain any preservatives or sulphites! This makes the ciders a LIVING product, one of few in the world! Our mouth-watering craft ciders use REAL and locally sourced WA produce. Our FUNKy Brewers use unique techniques such as infusing REAL fruits, wild fermenting and barrel aging ciders that will knock your socks off! If that’s not amazing enough, most of our ciders are unfiltered leaving even more flavour and goodness in your Cider! So make FUNK Cider your destination with our epic brews, delicious food and awesome atmosphere with chilled tunes!
